Statement Of Faith:
Children Worldwide adheres to the Evangelical Alliance Statement of Faith.
Applying our Statement of Faith specifically to children, we believe that
-
Children are precious to God
-
Children need to be “born again”, and can develop a full relationship with God
-
Children need training and nurturing towards Christian maturity
-
Children need to be integrated into the life of the church
Vision Statement:
“The vision of Children Worldwide is to train, disciple and encourage children to be enthusiastic about starting and developing a personal relationship with God through Jesus, and enable them to become an effective part of the church.”
Aims Arising Out Of Our Vision:
-
To present the unchanged Gospel to children in a lively and exciting way
-
To provide teaching and training for children in a way that is Biblical, contemporary, safe, and an example of best practice
-
To train, encourage and enthuse other children’s leaders
-
To encourage churches to include children in the daily life of the church family
-
To respect the fact that children are part of a family, and encourage families in the Biblical nurture of their children
-
To make resources available for children, churches and families (or advise where to obtain them).
-
To provide a structure that enables team members to receive adequate spiritual care and support
-
To work where appropriate in partnership with other organisations
-
To build bridges into other work outside our ‘normal’ remit e.g. work with teenagers is beyond our usual 3 to 12 year range
-
To work both in the UK and beyond as the opportunities arise

SUMMARY
Children Worldwide is an organisation serving the church amongst children and families. It is a network of independent children’s workers. Team members are the most important resource it has, and this document gives the policy for their selection and continued support. We try to keep the ‘rules’ to a necessary minimum because we recognise that the members of the Children Worldwide team are “The same – but different”.
The Same:
We expect and help every member of our Children Worldwide team to work to the highest possible standards within our aims and beliefs, and to be uncompromising with our strict “Biblical, contemporary and safe” guidelines. We believe that the unchanged Gospel still reaches the unchanging needs of children and families.
But Different:
At Children Worldwide we admit to being unusual in that, as a membership organisation we do not specify how our members work or what they should do, but actively encourage them to work freely within their own giftings, style and speciality in a way that engages the interest of the children in an appropriate way. We are inter-denominational and sensitive to the needs and ethos of those we serve. We believe that our “differences” and wide range of ministries make us stronger as an organisation, more adaptable as a team and better able to meet national and international needs.
